Die Coatings are water based dressings used to give better surface finish to non-ferrous castings and ease die operation. Since during aluminium alloy casting the liquid metal is at about 700-750 deg.cent. And the die is at a lower temperature, there is lot of heat transfer and reduction in flow ability of liquid metal. Hence in such situations its better to have insulating coatings to prevent heat loss and have directional solidification.

• Exocote-6 - Is a general purpose die coating for medium to smooth finish.
• Exocote-39 - Highly refractory die coating for medium to heavy section thickness.
• Exocote-39ESS – Extra Strongly Bonded die coating
• Exocote-140 - A general purpose superfine refractory die coating.
• Exocote-140ESS - Extra Strongly Bonded die coating
• Exocote-36 - An insulating die coating with added lubricating properties.
• Plungcote-50 - Coating for Plunger in Aluminium die castings
• Application – Die coatings are normally available in paste form and needs further dilution with water to the required spray conditions.
