- In case of continuous castings, hot-liquid metal is poured through tundish tank, lined with highly refractory tundish spray to maintain the steel temperature during the process.
- The top surface of the liquid metal exposed to atmosphere loses heat by radiation, convection. To minimize the heat loss during the casting process, the liquid metal in the tundish is covered with Coverex range of highly insulating powders.
- Coverex is a range of insulating cover powders designed for use in the ladle or tundish to prevent heat loss during casting.
